SIEMENS Building Technologies have announced the new SISTORE MX 3G, their new real-time hybrid digital video recording (DVR) device.

According to the company, the SISTORE MX 3G provides eight times the performance over previous generation solutions allowing customers to benefit from improved image quality.

Additionally, by being able to track more images per second, this solution allows for a more detailed playback of recorded data by being able to follow fast-pace motion better.

The company said the new DVR is ideally suited for security applications needed in banking and financial institutions, shopping centers, factories, hospitals, government and railway installations.

Siemens adds the solution records at 4CIF resolution, provides up to 500 IPS (images per second) total recording performance and is the most energy efficient device of its class consuming only 36 watts per terabyte.

This hybrid DVR provides a display subsystem with the capability to support dual digital monitors, as well as four spot-monitor outputs.

According to the company, the SISTORE MX 3G also integrates two built in Gigabit Ethernet ports for increased network storage support, remote monitoring and management, as well as advanced software functionality including the ability to integrate Siemens SiPass Access Control System for interoperable security.
