Telstra provides network security with new Canberra security operations centre

TELSTRA has opened its new ASIO T4 accredited Security Operations Centre (SOC) in Canberra, designed to provide managed network security services to Enterprise and Government customers.

According to Telstra, the 1300 square metre SOC has been installed with state-of-the-art monitoring tools to provide 24 hours, seven days a week security.

It will specialise in the secure management of Telstra's core infrastructure and alongside the networks Telstra manages for a range of Enterprise and Government customers.

Telstra Enterprise and Government Group managing director Nerida Caesar says the SOC will be better prepare against and isolate security incidents.

"The SOC enables us to help customers to effectively reduce and deal with security risks, comply with regulations and policies, protect their critical assets, and enhance operational safety," she says.
