Simptel voice recognition to battle cyber, banking fraud

GOLD Coast technology company Simptel Communications is currently negotiating with the Federal Government over its patented voice-recognition technology.

According to the company, the technology is to play a part of the government’s new assault on cyber and banking fraud.

The voice-recognition technology has been developed by Gold Coast’s Danny Simpson, who has sold the intellectual property rights to the automated technology to Simptel.

Simpson said Simptel was in an 'ideal position' to capitalise on the growing concern over cyber fraud in both personal and business transactions.

He said voice biometric security will provide business and government with a way to reduce the growing threat of identity theft and fraud, replacing the PIN and password-based system.
