ORGANISATIONS installed with Telstra’s high-level security alarm monitoring platform Securitel are running out of time to make their decision for a replacement.
According to ADT Security Australia, Securitel is due to cease trading at the end of the year and believes this presents an opportunity for organisations to upgrade to a more secure, more flexible platform.
“With the deadline looming, businesses need to react quickly by assessing their requirements then selecting a new monitoring platform that addresses their level of risk. For many, this is an ideal opportunity to overhaul outdated technology and future-proof their security system for little more than their current financial investment,” ADT Security Australia managing director, Mark Norton says.
ADT Security’s high-level security alarm monitoring platform is ADT IP Connect and connects an organisation’s security system to a network of their choice. To provide greater protection from determined intruders, alarm traffic is encrypted and the frequency with which the connection is polled is entirely flexible.
“Businesses are increasingly deploying broadband wide area networks based on IP technology. The corresponding increase in available bandwidth and the ‘always on’ connection capability have provided an ideal platform for the development of next generation remote security monitoring services such as video verification services,” he says.
