Hyro to provide Victorian schools with identity and access management

HYRO has been contracted by the Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD) to provide a state-wide identity and access management solution.

According to Hyro, its Idaptive Digital Identity and Access Management product suite will be used for over 50,000 teachers, 500,000 students and one million parents.

Hyro says its Idaptive Digital Identity and Access Management technology will be used to integrate with existing business systems. It will administer the extended communities of users, provision accounts and entitlements and provide secure access to data and resources.

The solution will federate government systems as well as non-government schools and protect data privacy.

Hyro says it is partnering with Microsoft, which will provide the operating system, database and networking technologies.
