GE Security implements security solution for World Cup 2010

GE SECURITY will be implementing its security technology in all of the eight stadiums for the World Cup 2010 in South Africa.

According to GE Security, the security solutions and life safety technologies will protect more than 350,000 fans who attend the sporting ground all year round.

GE Security claims some of the security technologies to be installed include high-end fire detection and evacuation solutions, and video cameras and monitoring systems.

“We are committed to creating a positive experience for fans by helping to deliver safer, more secure stadium environments, which is particularly important for the upcoming tournament competitions, that will draw huge crowds,” GE Security EMEA president Bart Otten says.
