ADT Security upgrades security for Norwegian retailer

ADT Security has been selected by NorgesGruppen, a Norway grocery retailer to provide remote real-time monitoring and service of networked Sensormatic systems.

ADT Security says its Sensormatic UltraMax acousto-magnetic (AM) anti-theft protection will replace the retailer’s Radio Frequency (RF) system.

ADT Security claims the Norwegian retailer tested the Sensormatic UltraMax AM anti-theft protection for three months and found it had a detection rate of 99% and there were no false alarms.

According ADT Security, the Sensormatic UltraMax AM anti-theft protection has been designed to detect all different products including metal-based or metal-packaged goods. It can also detect security tags on goods in metal shopping carts.
